vRealize Automation 7.0

vRealize Automation 7.0 is a cutting edge release which provides an industry lead cloud automation solution to our customers.   With the streamlined installation wizard, simplified SSO configuration, integrated graphical infrastructure, and application blueprint authoring and deployment capabilities,  and many other new enhancements,  customers will be able to maximize their return on investment by extremely shortened time to value for cloud service delivery.  This release is also a huge important step towards our SDDC vision and mission.  This is endorsed by hundreds of beta customers all over the world.

vRealize Orchestrator

vRealize Orchestrator Plug-In for vRealize Automation 7.0 works with vRealize Automation 7.0 and vRealize Orchestrator 7.0.

This release of the vRealize Orchestrator Plug-In for vRealize Automation introduces the following new functionality:

  • New workflows are added to support the following new and modified features.
  • New composite blueprints
  • New workflow subscriptions and the event broker service
  • XaaS server configuration
  • XaaS resource mapping
  • Business group management
  • Service catalog requests
  • Sample workflows

CloudClient 4.0


The version number of CloudClient 4.0 reflects compatibility with vRA 7.0. We will continue to maintain the CloudClient 3.x code line to support vRA 6.x.
This release includes the following enhancements:
  • Support for importing and exporting blueprints, software components, property groups, property definitions, and XaaS (formerly Advanced Service Designer) content as part of the “blueprint as code” theme of vRA 7.0
  • Updates to CloudClient commands for compatibility with vRealize Automation 7.0 and support for the new simplified consumer API
  • Improved contextual auto-completion of command options
  • New commands for making authenticated vRealize Automation API calls from the command line (“vcac-cli” functionality that has been merged with CloudClient)
  • Support for removing a machine from management by vRealize Automation and removing inactive compute resources
  • Support for Site Recovery Manager 6
  • Other bug fixes
  • CloudClient 3.3 is compatible with vRA 7.0, vRO 7.0, and SRM 6.
